PFERDEREITEN

Dank der geographischen Vielfalt bietet Georgien eine große Auswahl an Pferdereitentouren. Sie können verschiedene Regionen des Großen Kaukasus (Swanetien, Mtiuleti, Chewi, Chewsureti, Tuscheti) im Sattel erleben. Dabei sind die Reitpferde von einer einheimischen Rasse, so dass sie keine Adaptationsprobleme aufweisen. Reitzubehör ist größtenteils georgischer Herstellung.
Je nach Ihrem Interesse und Anforderungen, können wir Ihnen die Reitertouren von unterschiedlicher Dauer und Schwierigkeitsgraden anbieten. Demnächst finden Sie einen Reiseverlauf, der den Großen und Kleinen Kaukasus mit wunderschönen Sichten und historischen Bauwerken miteinschließt.

1.Tag: Abflug nach Tbilissi

2.Tag: Tbilissi – Gudauri

Besichtigung von Tbilissi. Nach dem Mittagessen Fahrt nach Gudauri, unterwegs Besuch der alten Hauptstadt Mzcheta. Übernachtung beim Skiort Gudauri.

3-5.Tage: Gudauri – Berg Lomisi (2298m) – Aragwi Flußquelle – Gudauri

Ein wunderschöner Ausritt im Großen Kaukasus führt über schöne Alpenwiesen auf der Höhe 2000-2500m. Wir reiten täglich ca. 4-5 St. und belegen etwa 10-15 km. Übernachtung in bequemen 5-Jahrezeiten Zelten.

6.Tag: Gudauri – Chada Tal – Tbilissi

Unser halbtägiger Ausritt beginnt in der Nähe des Hotels 2100m über dem Meeresspiegel. Wir reiten über Bergabhänge, vorbei an entfernten Dörfern und alten Wachtürmen. Wir erreichen das Dorf Kwescheti und fahren zurück nach Tbilissi.

7-11.Tage: Tbilissi – Gwewi – Gudarechi – Bedeni See – Pitareti – Dorf Dshordshiaschwili – Orbeti – Tbilissi

Die Ausritte im Kleinen Kaukasus (700-1800m) führen uns über herrliche Landschaften, vorbei an historischen Bauwerken. Wir haben eine Möglichkeit, die Einheimischen und ihre Lebensweise kennenzulernen. Reitlänge beträgt jeden Tag ca. 25-30 km, Reitzeit – 5-6 St. Übernachtung in Zelten. (Wenn das Wetter schlecht ist, dann können wir bei einer einheimischen Familie bleiben). Englische und Achalteka Pferderassen stehen uns zur Verfügung. Ausrüstung: Sättel der russischen Militärkavallerie und holländische Zäume.

12.Tag: Abflug

Pferdereiten im Gebiet Bakuriani
Der Skiort Bakuriani liegt im Kleinen Kaukasus 1700m über dem Meeresspiegel. Dank seiner Lage haben wir großartige Möglichkeiten, eintägige Ausritte in der Umgebung zu organisieren. Die Routen führen über Nadelwälder und alpine Wiesen. Übernachtung im Hotel in Bakuriani.

1 –Tagesausritt: Auf Spuren der Schafshirten

Amarati – Berg Lomismta – Amarati
Ein relativ leichter Ausritt, 14 km, 4-5 St. Unterwegs können wir die Kirche der Heiligen Maria und die Festung Semotia in Kwabiskhewi, sowie das Grüne Kloster in Tschitachewi besuchen.

2 –Tageausritt: Panoramaausritt

Atskuri – Amarati Touristenhütte – Atskuri
Ein Ausritt von Atskuri in die schöne Landschaften von Amarati. Gesamtlänge – 34 St., Reitzeit - 5 St. pro Tag.

3-Tageausritt: Panoramaausritt

Atskuri – Berg Samezchwareo – Amarati Touristenhütte – Sachwlari Touristenhütte – Marelisi
Ein Ausritt quer über Nationalpark von Atskuri nach Marelisi (oder umgekehrt), vorbei an der höchsten Stelle des Berges Samezchwareo. Zwei Übernachtungen in Touristenstation in Amarati und in Didi Sachwlari (oder Ranger-Hütten). Gesamtlänge -50 km, Reitzeit 5-6 St. pro Tag.

Pferdereiten in Chewsuretien
In Chewsuretien können wir 1 bis 5 Tageausritte organisieren.

1 –Tagesausritt

Eintägiger Ausritt wird vom Dorf Gudauri zum Dorf Barisacho, zum Abudelauri See oder zum Dorf Guro organisiert. Wir reiten über Bergabhängen und genießen traumhafte Aussichten. Gesamtlänge - 30km, Reitzeit – 6 St.

2-4 –Tageausritt

Wir können 2,3 oder 4 Tageausritte in der Umgebung des Dorfes Dshuta und Archoti, am Abudelauri See und zum Berg Tschauchebi anbieten. Alle sind Rundausritte von 25-30km, 5-6 St. Reitzeit pro Tag.

5 –Tageausritt

Gudani – Tsubrowani Pass – Chachabo – Ardoti – Schatili – Giorgitsminda – Datwisdschwari Pass – Gudani
Tägliche Reitlänge 15-20km, Reitzeit – 4-5 St. Der 5. und 6. Tag sind ein bisschen anstrengend, da wir ca. 30 km (6-7 St.) belegen.

Pferdereiten in Swanetien
In der Region Swanetien können wir Tagesausritte von Mestia und Uschguli, sowie einen Ausritt in der ganzen Region Swanetien von 800m bis zum Dorf Uschguli (2200m) anbieten.

In der Region Tuscheti können wir beides - Rundritte und Tagesausritte organisieren, um den häufigen Wechsel der Übernachtungsstellen zu vermeiden. Wir bieten 4-5 Tageritte mit Übernachtungen bei lokalen Familien. Wir besuchen schöne Dörfer Omalo, Schenako, Dartlo, Girevi, Tschescho und Parsma und genießen ihre Natur- und Kulturschätze.

HORSE - RIDING TOUR

Thanks to its geographical conditions a variety of horse-riding tours can be organized in Georgia. You can travel on horseback in different regions of the Great Caucasus mountains (Svaneti, Mtiuleti, Khevi, Khevsureti, Tusheti), ride horses of local breed that are well adapted to local conditions. In most cases Georgian track is used.
Taking into consideration your interests and requirements we offer you horseback tours of different duration and difficulty. Below you will find an itinerary covering Great and Little Caucasus with beautiful views and ancient monuments. We also provide options to enable you to better plan your trip.

Day 1: Departure for Tbilisi

Day 2: Tbilisi – Gudauri

Tbilisi sightseeing tour. After lunch drive to Gudauri en route visiting the town of Mtskheta. Overnight in Gudauri ski resort.

Days 3-5: Gudauri – Mt Lomisi (2298m) – Aragvi River Source – Gudauri

We travel in the Great Caucasus mountains. We ride horses in beautiful alpine meadows at an altitude of 2000-2500m. Each day we cover 10-15 km and ride 4-5 hours. Overnight in comfortable five season type tents.

Day 6: Gudauri – Khada Gorge – Tbilisi

Our pleasant half-day riding starts near the hotel at 2100m. We ride on the slopes passing remote villages and ancient towers. We get to the village of Kvesheti and the drive to Tbilisi.

Days 7-11: Tbilisi – Gvevi – Gudarekhi – Bedeni Lake – Pitareti – Jorjiashvili Village – Orbeti – Tbilisi

We travel in the Little Caucasus (700-1800m) famous for beautiful landscapes as well as ancient historical sights. We also have a chance to meet local people and get acquainted with their lifestyle. Each day we cover 25-30km, ride 5-6 hours. Overnight in tents (if the weather is bad, we can stay with local families). We use English and Akhalteka horses, tack – Russian military cavalry saddles and Dutch bridles.

Day 12: Departure

Horse-Riding in Bakuriani Area
Bakuriani ski resort is located in the Little Caucasus at 1700m. Its setting provides a nice opportunity to arrange one-day redial trips. Routes pass through coniferous forests and alpine meadows. Overnight in the hotel in Bakuriani.

1-Day Shephers’ Trail

Amarati – Mt Lomismta – Amarati
A relatively easy trip, 14km, 4-5 hours. En route we can visit St Mary’s Church and Zemotia Fortress in Kvabiskhevi and the Green Monastery in Chitakhevi.

2-Days Panorama Trail

Atskuri – Amarati Tourist Shelter – Atskuri
Challenging round trip from Atskuri via Amarati with great panoramic views, total distance – 34 hours, 5 hours riding a day.

3-Days Panorama Trail

Atskuri – Mt Sametskhvareo – Amarati Tourist Shelter – Sakhvlari Tourist Shelter – Marelisi
Cross the National Park from Atskuri to Marelisi (or vice versa), passing the highest point Mt Sametskhvareo (2642m). Two overnights in Amarati tourist shelter, Didi Sakhvlari tourist shelter (or ranger shelters), total distance 50km, 5-6 hours riding a day.

Horse-Riding in Khevsureti
In Khevsureti we can organize horseback trips from one up to five days.

1-Day Trips

1-day trips can be arranged from the village of Gudauri to the village of Barikakho, or Abudelauri Lake or the village of Guro. We ride on horseback on mountains slopes enjoying stunning views. Total distance – 30km, riding time – 6 hours.

2-4-Days Trips

We can organize 2,3 or 4-day trips around the villages of Juta and Arkhoti, Abudelauri Lake and mt Chaukhebi. They are all round trips with 25-30km (5-6 hours) riding a day.

5-Days Trip

Gudani – Tsubrovani Pass – Khakhabo – Ardoti – Shatili – Giorgitsminda – Datvisjvari Pass – Gudani
Every day we ride 15-20km, 4-5 hours. Days 5 and 6 are a bit harder as we have to cover about 30km (6-7 hours).

Horse-Riding in SvanetiIn Svaneti region we can plan redial tours from Mestia and Ushguli as well as a trip covering the whole Svaneti region from 800m till the village of Ushguli (2200m).
Suggested itinerary for Svaneti horseback trip:
Chuberi – Nakra – Etseri – Becho – Mestia – Adishi – Iprari – Ushguli
Minimum daily riding distance – 12km (3 hours), maximum distance – 25km (5 hours). Overnight with local families.

Horse-Riding in TushetiIn Tusheti region we can arrange both round trips and redial tours to avoid changing overnight places too often. We suggest 4-5-day horse-riding trips with overnights with local families. We visit beautiful villages of Omalo, Shenako, Dartlo, Girevi, Chesho and Parsma to admire their natural and cultural heritage.

Depending on what time of year you visit Georgia, shorts and a t-shirt will generally carry you through your entire trip. Georgia’s 11 Visitor Information Centers serve as a gateway to the state and are located on major travel arteries in Augusta, Columbus, Kingsland, Lavonia, Plains, Ringgold, Savannah, Tallapoosa, Valdosta, West Point and Sylvania. Travelers are greeted by information specialists who provide valuable travel information, directions and traffic updates, weather conditions and book hotel rooms. The state travel guide, maps, a variety of brochures and other collateral materials are available to those traveling to or through Georgia.

Our centers are open daily from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm and restrooms are open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. The centers are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
